Advice and Information for Cyclists

Cycling is a fantastic way to stay fit whilst travelling. It's also one of those things that can be done by almost anyone and is often a very sociable form of exercise with local clubs regularly organising group events. But if you choose to take advantage of all the benefits of cycling, how would you know where to start. Which type of bike do you choose and what size should it be? What clothing should you wear to ensure you are seen by other road users? How should you position the bicycle and, most importantly, how do you keep yourself safe on the roads?

Somerset Road Safety has a team of dedicated, qualified trainers available to deliver Bikeability training to schools and individuals. Use the links below to find out how to access cycle training and for hints and tips to keep you safe whilst you enjoy your cycling.
