About Route 60+
Our Route 60+ events aim to help senior drivers drive safely for longer.
Driving is a life skill that provides independence and quality of life for many. Route 60+ is designed to help you keep your licence for as long as possible by addressing key issues such as how vehicles have changed over the years, how our own driving skills and habits have changed, and how we can go about updating our skills.
If you would like to attend a Route 60+ you will find details of all of our upcoming events in our Events Calendar. Each event comprises of a presentation, lasting approximately 60 minutes, and a number of other activities including reaction testing, driving simulation and eye sight checks. We also invite along a number of partner agencies including the police, fire service and the Red Cross, who have information and advice on a range of other topics that you may find useful.
There are opportunities to talk with members of the road safety team about any driving or road safety concerns you may have. Refreshments are always available and the atmosphere is very relaxed, you don’t even have to be over 60 to come along!
Those attending will also receive a free bag including a hi-vis jacket and a copy of the highway code. Details of accredited driving instructors will also be available should any attendees require further support with their individual driving issues.
