Advice and Information for Motorcyclists
Advice and information
Motorcycles make up only 1% of our county’s traffic but riders and pillion passengers account for around 22% of those killed and seriously injured in crashes. Protection in the event of a crash is limited as the rider is often thrown from the vehicle.
Somerset Road Safety promotes safe, responsible riding and supports a number of initiatives aimed at reducing a rider’s exposure to risk and lessening their likelihood of being involved in a crash. The team includes experienced dedicated motorcyclists who are able to consider the issues that riders face and who aim to devise solutions that will meet the needs of Somerset riders.
Education and Training for motorcyclists
Somerset Road Safety is also able to offer bespoke road safety sessions to clubs and groups of all ages and requirements. For more information email roadsafety@somerset.gov.uk
