Pedestrian training for key stage 1 and 2
Practical child pedestrian skills training
About Pedestrian training for key stage 1 and 2
Keeping children safe whilst they’re at school is a major concern for all teaching staff. However, it’s just as important to keep children out of harms way on their daily journeys too. Sadly, due to the often chaotic nature of school drop-off times the areas directly around school entrances can become extremely dangerous for pedestrians and, in particular, young children.
This practical Pedestrian Training Course introduces children in key stages 1 and 2 to various safe ways of crossing the road and how to look out for dangers whilst walking in a range of different situations.
As teachers or classroom assistants you will be invited to walk with the Road Safety Trainers whilst out on the road with the children (parents are welcome too). The adult/child ratio is quite high but varies with the different age groups.
