About Road safety talks for key stage 1 and 2
Children in key stages 1 and 2 are one of the groups classed as “vulnerable” road users. In the 21st century, due to greater numbers of family cars, a higher percentage of working parents and an increased perception of risk, fewer children walk to school regularly and often fail to gain the experience of walking near busy roads.
This workshop gives children a thorough insight into the dangers of walking or playing near roads and offers hints and tips on how to stay as safe as possible. It not only deals with pedestrians, but also with those who regularly use scooters.
