School crossing patrols
Keeping children and parents safe whilst crossing busy roads near schools
About School crossing patrols
Schools Crossing Patrols (SCP) are an excellent way to ensure children at your school can cross busy local roads safely. Usually situated outside or in the vicinity of the school, the SCP will not only assist children but, following a change in the law, can also now help other pedestrians to cross the road safely.
Somerset Road Safety provide the clothing, equipment, training and on-going monitoring of the SCP personnel, but the people filling the roles are employed and managed directly by the schools concerned. If you find it necessary to replace any of your SCP staff a member of the team will visit your school, free of charge, to ensure they are fully trained in how to assist people across the road as safely as possible.
